Odoo integration at GevenHout
GevenHout offers wooden planks for exterior use. Especially for facades and deckings. It has an in house production facility.
Back in 2020 it had an software stack that was not ready for growth. I was in charge of the Odoo implementation. In the period 2021 till 2025 I was in charge of ecommerce and marketing.
I think my added value for this project was my entrepeneural, technical and marketing skills.
Ecommerce
Allthough it was the second part of the integration I start writing abouut this part as it was the most important one.
Odoo integration
Starting with finding a suitable software I investigated several options like Microsoft Dynamics 365, Acodon timber solutions and Betty Blocks. We choose Odoo after an intensive investigation.
The next step was to find a partner and start the implementation. We choose Aardug, a Odoo implentation partner in The Netherlands. After some time and the unfortunate death of the Indian lead programmer, we choose to continue and hire an Indian programmer directly.

Product
It needs some creativity and understanding of the ERP system involved to make a product fit into a system. We use the Odoo attributes to have that fit. We use attributes like specie, profile, certification to make this fit.
Sales
Customised sales config and shipping to make it work efficient for salesman. Thanks to this configuration the department is able to handle a large ammount quotations requests and weborders.
Inventory - manufactoring
The company has some specific requirements to manage products, BOMs, manuafactoring. In it's basic it's very simple and very flexible to scale.
Accounting
Accounting is the heart of the organisation. I implementend the debitor, creditor and financial transactions for the the German based GevenHolz GmbH. Here my accounting skills where very helpfull.
CRM
To nurture leads into customers GevenHout now has a efficient setup for CRM. Leads arrive via the website and emails are sent automatically. - Oct 2022
